IAMFIRE Featuring Former THE HAUNTED Singer PETER DOLVING: 'Burn Your Halo Red' Lyric Video

November 10, 2014

IAMFIRE, the new band featuring vocalist Peter Dolving (THE HAUNTED, MARY BEATS JANE),bassist Mikael Ehlert (BLOOD EAGLE, HATESPHERE),drummer Ulf Scott Hansen (L.O.C., SUSPEKT, GREAT DECEIVER),and guitarist Peter Ahlers Ohlsen, will release a limited-edition 10-inch EP, "Eyes Wide Open", in January 2015 via the French label Deadlight Entertainment. A full-length album, tentatively titled "The Chariot", will follow in the spring.

"Eyes Wide Open" was produced and mixed by Jacob Bredahl at Dead Rat Studio in Aarhus, Denmark and was mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege in Portland, Oregon.

The official lyric video for the song "Burn Your Halo Red" can be seen below.

According to the band's official bio, IAMFIRE is "psychedelic mindblowing rock in its heaviest, most life-affirming and trippiest form. It's equal parts THE BEATLES 'Revolver' [and] BLACK SABBATH, in a unique accessible recipe. [They are] musically inspired by everything from SONIC YOUTH, BLACK SABBATH, KYUSS [to] LED ZEPPELIN [and] JOY DIVISION, [with] a love for Bill Hicks' infamous 'ride.'"

IAMFIRE is the brainchild of Mikael and Ulf. The band started out as SUB ROSA, first as an instrumental combo with Ehlert, Ulf Scott Hansen and Peter Ahlers Olsen, before Dolving was invited a couple of years ago to join the festivities, bringing a whole new level of vocal harmonies and lyrical depth to follow the rabbit through the looking-glass.
