ICON IN ME Begins Recording Sophomore Album
July 27, 2010ICON IN ME — the Russian/Swedish/Danish modern metal band featuring HOSTILE BREED guitarist Dmitry Frans, Danish drummer Morten Løwe Sørensen (SUBMISSION, THE ARCANE ORDER, SCARVE, INSTANT CARNAGE, STRANGLER, SCARVE, SOILWORK) and Swedish vocalist Tony Jelencovich (M.A.N, ex-MNEMIC, TRANSPORT LEAGUE) — has entered the studio to begin recording its as-yet-untitled sophomore album. The drums are currently being laid down at CBS Studios in Holsted, Denmark. 13 songs are being recorded during the sessions, including "Wasted Ways", "Solid Child", "Face It", "Thousand Wars", "Flood Kills" and "Nuclear Drama".
ICON IN ME's video for the song "That Day, That Sorrow" can be viewed below. The clip was directed by Yuri Yeryomin, who has previously worked with the Russian band ARKONA (Napalm Records).The track comes off the band's debut album, "Human Museum", which was released in April 2009 via Massacre Records. The CD was recorded in November 2007 at Hansen studios in Ribe, Denmark and was mixed by Jacob Hansen.
According to the band's official bio, ICON IN ME's style can best be described as "modern metal with some thrash, death and hardcore style elements."
