IMAGIKA: In Songwriting Mode

September 9, 2008

San Jose, California-based metallers IMAGIKA have issued the following update:

"The band has made some great strides with the release of 'Feast For The Hated' this year. The CD was one the most played/added U.S. metal radio releases this summer on CMJ and FMQB. We started out 3 (CMJ) and 5 (FMQB) and stayed in the top 20 for over 6 weeks. All commercial and college radio reports to these two companies so we were very stoked with the exposure. The CD also picked up some great response and reviews in the European metal press. Of course we tried like hell to tour behind the release in both markets, but have unfortunately hit the usual proverbial wall with no one giving us shot to make it happen. Some think we don't like to tour or don't give a fuck, but we love playing live and never had any label support or any support period for that matter to make it happen. But no worries, we'll be doing our own West Coast dates shortly so stayed tuned.

"Writing has already been underway for the next CD with for four songs already in the bag. All the music is written and we just need to pull it together as band over the next few weeks. A title for the next CD is already in place but will keep it under wraps for a little while longer."

"Feast for the Hated" was released in the U.S. on May 20 via Locomotive Records. The CD was mixed at Sweden's Sonic Train Studio with Andy La Rocque (KING DIAMOND guitarist).
