IMPIOUS: Putting Finishing Touches On New Material

May 25, 2006

Swedish death/thrashers IMPIOUS have posted the following message on their official web site:

"Sorry for the lack of updates, but the reason is simple: We've been so damn busy with the new album. It's insane! We're at the moment finishing all music and it seems like we'll deliver 11 tracks for you guys in Europe and America, and 12 tracks for our friends in Japan. No cover, no demo song, no remix, just simply an extra song.

"The new album will be very special. Yes, it's a concept album... but that's not really what's so special about it. We're doing the booklet in 28 pages, and the whole thing is made like a comic book (except the size). Every single page and image is painted by horror comic artist Andrea Cavaletto. He's doing an amazing job, and the whole thing will turn out very cool! All lyrics will be fitted in text boxes and speech bubbles, just like in a ordinary comic book. This will give you a whole new experience, as you will be able to listen to a damn good album while following the whole story visually. Get it? It's soooo much work putting all this together. Everything has to fit. Music, lyrics, images... everything! That's not all. We've got some more special stuff going on for the album, but more about that later."

IMPIOUS' fourth full-length album, "Hellucinate", was released in October 2004 through Metal Blade Records. The follow-up to 2002's "The Killer" was recorded at StudioMega with producer Valle Adzic and was mixed by Chris Silver and Valle Adzic.
