IMPLODE Working On New Material
March 9, 2012Swedish extreme metallers IMPLODE are working on material for their sophomore album. According to the band, the new CD will feature "a far more brutal and aggressive sound" than that on their debut, last year's "The Hour Has Come".
"The Hour Has Come" was released last May via Supernova Records. IMPLODE has since parted ways with the company and is currently seeking a new label home.
IMPLODE's "Memento Mori" demo earned the band the tag "Best Unsigned Act in Sweden" courtesy of Close-Up Magazine.
The group has previously shared the stage with such acts as THE HAUNTED, ENTOMBED and WITHIN TEMPTATION.
In early 2009, IMPLODE parted ways with vocalist Viktor Brunö and replaced him with Johan Ejerblom. The group's sound began to take the shape, with the band pursuing "a more rough and evil" direction, according to IMPLODE's official bio.
