Sundsvall, Sweden-based death metallers IN BATTLE have announced the addition of session guitarist Tomas Elofsson (GOD AMONG INSECTS, SANCTIFICATION) to the group's ranks.

IN BATTLE's third full-length album, "Welcome to the Battlefield", is scheduled for release on September 20 through Cold/Metal Blade Records.

The recording of the new album started at Courthouse Studio in Östersund, Sweden, where the drums were recorded on February 2-3. The guitars and bass were recorded at Necromorbus Studio in Stockholm, Sweden between February 19 and March 7.

On March 9, the band got on the plane to Tampa, Florida, where they recorded the vocals at Erik Rutan's (HATE ETERNAL/ex-MORBID ANGEL guitarist) Mana Recording Studios with engineer Shawn Ohtani. The album was mixed and mastered at Mana Recording Studios by Rutan, who also laid down a guest appearance on lead guitar in the track "Serpents".

IN BATTLE will celebrate the release of their upcoming CD with a live appearance at Pipeline in Sundsvall on October 2. Support at the show will come from MÖRK GRYNING.
