IN FLAMES' 'Come Clarity' Album Sells 100,000 Copies In The U.S.
October 6, 2006According to Nielsen SoundScan, U.S. sales figures for IN FLAMES' "Come Clarity" album have surpassed 100,000 copies.
"Come Clarity", the highly influential band's debut for Ferret Music, took the hard rock community by storm upon its release, debuting at #58 on the Billboard Top 200 with first week sales of nearly 25,000 copies. The highest charting record in both the band and label's sales history, "Come Clarity" has met to widespread critical acclaim and solidified IN FLAMES' place as leaders of the modern day heavy music movement. IN FLAMES is also seeing success at radio with the launch of the first U.S. commercial campaign in the band's storied history. Active Rock stations across the country have been adding the new single "Come Clarity" to their playlists, with early adds from tastemaker stations WJJO (Madison, WI),KFRQ (McAllen, TX) and great support from KMYZ (Tulsa, OK) and XM Radio leading the charge. These are the first commercial radio adds ever for IN FLAMES, and also a first for Ferret Music. "Come Clarity" showcases the powerful songwriting that IN FLAMES is known for, as well as the band's crossover potential, incorporating acoustic guitars, impassioned vocals and a bombastic chorus.
On the heels of the new single's release, IN FLAMES has announced December 2006 North American headlining dates. The IN FLAMES tour will feature support from LACUNA COIL and more and is slated to kick off on December 5 in Norfolk, VA. The band will shortly hit the road alongside SLAYER and LAMB OF GOD as part of the 2006 "Unholy Alliance" Europe trek.
