IN FLAMES: 'Soundtrack' Moves Up On Swedish Chart
April 23, 2004IN FLAMES' new album, "Soundtrack to Your Escape", has climbed to position No. 11 on the official Swedish album chart in its third week of release. The CD entered the chart at No. 3 and dropped down to No. 14 before climbing up again, according to a posting on the band's official web site, www.inflames.com.
As previously reported, IN FLAMES sold an impressive 10,659 copies of the new album in the U.S. during its first week of release to debut at No. 145 on The Billboard 200 chart.
"Soundtrack To Your Escape" was recorded at a rented house/converted studio in Denmark with producers Daniel Bergstrand (MESHUGGAH, STRAPPING YOUNG LAD) and Örjan Örnkloo (ex-MISERY LOVES CO.) and was mixed at Galaxy Studios in Mol, Belgium. Mastering duties were handled at the Cutting Room in Stockholm, Sweden.
IN FLAMES will be teaming up with KILLSWITCH ENGAGE for a co-headlining North American tour beginning on May 3 in the Midwest. The month-long run will wrap up in early June on the East Coast. Also appearing on the bill will be AS I LAY DYING.
