IN THIS MOMENT Drummer, Guitarist Quit To Join 'American Idol' Rocker

November 12, 2011

Drummer Jeff Fabb and guitarist Blake Bunzel have left Southern California's IN THIS MOMENT in order to join the backing band of "American Idol" finalist James Durbin.

Commented IN THIS MOMENT: "We are embracing this change with open arms, and a renewed spirit. Sometimes you have to let go of what's in your hands to reach for something greater! In the meantime, we are back in the studio, writing for our new album and the new songs are sounding better than anything we've done to date. We are aiming for a summer 2012 release, so get ready and look out for a bigger and badder IN THIS MOMENT in the coming year."

IN THIS MOMENT is scheduled to enter the studio in January to begin recording its next album for a spring release via Century Media Records.

The band's latest CD, "A Star-Crossed Wasteland", sold 10,500 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 40 on The Billboard 200 chart.

IN THIS MOMENT's sophomore effort, "The Dream", opened with more than 8,000 copies back in October 2008 to land at No. 70.

"A Star-Crossed Wasteland" was released on July 13, 2010 via Century Media Records. The CD was recorded at The Wolves Den studio in Las Vegas, Nevada with producer Kevin Churko (OZZY OSBOURNE, FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH).
