IN VAIN Issues New Album Update

November 21, 2008

Norwegian extreme metallers IN VAIN have issued the following update:

"I travelled home in October/November and spent approxmately 10 days in the studio [working on the upcoming sophomore IN VAIN album]. We got quite a lot of work done, but the mix is not done yet. Hopefully we'll do the final mix of the album in December.

"The plans have also changed a bit. Most certainly the CD will only consist of seven songs, that is seven of our own new songs. So one song plus the cover will be left out. We'll post the complete tracklist when it's decided.

"The tentative release is set to be February 2009.

"For those who liked 'The Latter Rain', I'm pretty sure you will enjoy this one as well. Hopefully it will be worth the wait."

IN VAIN released its full-length debut, "The Latter Rain", last year via Indie Recordings. The CD was recorded at DUB Studio (GREEN CARNATION, BLOOD RED THRONE, CHAIN COLLECTOR) in the summer/fall of 2006 and involved close to 20 guest musicians and several guest vocalists, such as Jan K. Transeth (IN THE WOODS...) and Kjetil Nordhus (GREEN CARNATION, TRAIL OF TEARS).
