IN VAIN To Enter Studio Next Month

June 10, 2008

Norwegian extreme metallers IN VAIN have issued the following update:

"The songwriting process [for the second IN VAIN album] is done and we're 90% done with the lyrics. Once again we will enter DUB Studio in our hometown Kristiansand and have booked it for two months starting July 1. All recordings will be done in DUB Studio and for the mixing we have different options that will be consulted as the process goes on. Now, we just hope to get together and practice a little the time that's left before the recording starts. We aim at a playing time of 55 minutes, but most likely it will be over 60 minutes this time as well. More info on songtitles, music, etc. to come."

IN VAIN released its full-length debut, "The Latter Rain", last year via Indie Recordings. The CD was recorded at DUB Studio (GREEN CARNATION, BLOOD RED THRONE, CHAIN COLLECTOR) in the summer/fall of 2006 and involved close to 20 guest musicians and several guest vocalists, such as Jan K. Transeth (IN THE WOODS...) and Kjetil Nordhus (GREEN CARNATION, TRAIL OF TEARS).
