Interview With Former NIGHTWISH Frontwoman To Air On Finnish TV

December 23, 2005

An interview with former NIGHTWISH frontwoman Tarja Turunen will air on the Finnish TV station TV1 on Saturday, December 24 at approximately 7:45 p.m.

In other news, Turunen's official web site has made available copies of "Noche Escandinava II", a very limited-edition CD containing recordings in Buenos Aires of the Concert of Noche Escandinava II (featuring Turunen) from April 24, 2004. More information is available at TarjaTurunen.com.

As previously reported, Spinefarm Records has set a June 7, 2006 release date for the upcoming "End of an Era" CD/DVD release from NIGHTWISH.

"End of an Era" will contain footage of NIGHTWISH's final concert with Turunen, which took place on October 21 at the Hartwall arena in Helsinki, Finland.

NIGHTWISH fired Turunen via an "open letter," which was given to the singer immediately following the Helsinki show. The group are currently seeking a replacement vocalist before entering the studio in September 2006 to begin recording the follow-up to 2004's "Once", tentatively due in mid-2007.
