INTO ETERNITY Guitarist Comments On Upcoming Tour With DREAM THEATER

April 17, 2007

Canadian progressive death outfit INTO ETERNITY has been confirmed for a month-long summer U.S. tour alongside the legendary DREAM THEATER. The trek, which kicks off in late July, is the opportunity the group has been waiting for since their inception, and a perfect chance to reach a new, open-minded audience that has yet to bear witness to their perfect blend of technicality, memorable songwriting and traditional heavy metal.

This tour will mark INTO ETERNITY's fourth Stateside run in support of their critically acclaimed new album, "The Scattering of Ashes", and coincide with the launch of their new single for the epic, "Timeless Winter". A riveting conceptual video for the track was recently completed by up-and-coming director Don Thompson, and its stunning imagery is sure to help it stand apart from the pack. In the meantime, you can view their latest video for "Severe Emotional Distress" at this location.

Commented Tim Roth (guitars, vocals): "I still can't believe I'm going to be saying this, but we are blown away to be going on tour with DREAM THEATER! There would be no INTO ETERNITY, without DT's influence on our music. The progressive sound that we have comes directly from them. There is no question that they are one of our favorite bands of all time!

"A huge thanks to Mike Portnoy for going to bat and getting us on this tour. It will be interesting to leave the clubs for one tour and get back into large venues again. We hope that the loyal DT fan base will be cool to us as a support act. We also can't wait to meet the REDEMPTION guys. FATES WARNING was also an influence on our sound."

INTO ETERNITY just finished annihilating audiences across the U.S. on the inaugural Metal For The Masses tour alongside Swedish titans THE HAUNTED, DARK TRANQUILLITY and SCAR SYMMETRY. The month-long trek marked the group's second U.S. run with new members Steve Bolognese (ex-BEYOND THE EMBRACE) on drums and Justin Bender on guitars.
