October 12, 2010The fourth in a five-part series of webisodes documenting the making of "Valley Of Smoke", the forthcoming sophomore album from Southern California's INTRONAUT, can be viewed below. The series was filmed and edited by Daniel Hague. The latest clip focues on the album's instrumental title track, which employs the use of two drum sets and two bass guitars, resulting in one of the band's most epic pieces yet.
Due on October 12 via Century Media Records (November 22 in Europe),the follow-up to 2008's "Prehistoricisms" was once again produced by Josh Newell (JANE'S ADDICTION) and it features a guest appearance by TOOL bassist Justin Chancellor. The CD's stunning artwork was created by David D'Andrea and can be viewed below.
INTRONAUT guitarist/vocalist Sacha Dunable previously stated about upcoming CD: "This record rules so much that I'm literally embarrassed to have been a part of everything we've done up until now. Not to sound pretentious, but this is absolutely the best music ever made."
Pre-order package deals for "Valley Of Smoke" are now available exclusively through CMDistro.com.
INTRONAUT recently completed a U.S. tour as the support act (along with DYSRHYTHMIA) for the reunited progressive rock/metal band CYNIC and is now preparing to hit the road with HELMET.
