November 15, 2010

Southern California's INTRONAUT will take part in the inaugural edition of "Live From The Compound", a new live concert series presented by Metal Army America.

"Live From The Compound" will be broadcast online exclusively on the Metal Army America web site in conjunction with StreamJam, who is responsible for designing the online night club "The Compound". This broadcast will take place on Monday, November 22 at 8 p.m. (Pacific) / 11 p.m. (Eastern). Anyone can log in to the application via his/her Facebook page and watch as INTRONAUT rips through some of its best tracks. The band will also field questions from audience members during the hour-long appearance.

INTRONAUT's sophomore album, "Valley Of Smoke", sold 1,300 copies in the United States in its first week of release. The CD landed at position No. 20 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200. The follow-up to 2008's "Prehistoricisms" was once again produced by Josh Newell (JANE'S ADDICTION) and features a guest appearance by TOOL bassist Justin Chancellor. The CD's stunning artwork was created by David D'Andrea and can be viewed below.
