ION DISSONANCE: New Song Posted Online

April 24, 2007

Montreal-based quintet ION DISSONANCE has posted a new track, entitled "Kneel", on its MySpace page. The song comes off the group's third album, "Minus the Herd", due on June 5 through Abacus Recordings. The follow-up to 2005's "Solace" was produced by Zeuss (SHADOWS FALL, HATEBREED) and will feaure artwork by Paul Romano (MASTODON, TRIVIUM, CHIODOS).

Singer Kevin McCaughey stated about on the track, "'Kneel' is given as an order. The idea this song lyrically is simple. A troubled man, seeks absolution for sins he has not yet committed. The idea behind the song itself is quite simple too. It's groovy, its heavy and hopefully you will enjoy it!"

ION DISSONANCE recently shot a video for "Kneel" with director Andrew DeYoung (CHIODOS, SCARS OF TOMORROW) that will be serviced to major outlets for airplay at the time of the album's release.

Commented McCaughey: "The video was filmed in the mountains of Santa Clarita, California. The set was previously intended for stunts and special effects. There were flipped over busses, smashed up RVs and a whole lot of cool props lying around. It was the first time any of us had been on a set of video shoot, and we were all very pleased and excited with our first experience. It was awesome. The team we worked with were very professional, and we are all looking forward to seeing what the final product will look like."

ION DISSONANCE will tour in May through Europe alongside DEAD TO FALL and THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD, and will play multiple dates with DYING FETUS and SKINLESS. They have also recently been added to the massive full U.S. Summer Slaughter Tour that features NECROPHAGIST, DECAPITATED, CEPHALIC CARNAGE, CATTLE DECAPITATION, AS BLOOD RUNS BLACK and more.
