ION VEIN Pull Out Of UPSTATE METAL FEST

May 4, 2004

Chicago prog/power metallers ION VEIN were forced to pull out of this weekend's Upstate Metal Fest due to an unfortunate accident in which their bassist broke his hand. "We've tried to find a replacement for the gig but there simply just isn't enough time to make it happen," the band said in a statement. "We sincerely apologize to everyone planning on coming out to see us and to our friends, ENERTIA, who organized this cool event but this is completely out of our control and definitely unexpected."

Upstate Metal Fest will take place May 7-8 in Gloversville, NY and will feature the following lineup: ENERTIA, HAVOCHATE, LUCID REALITY, DIVISION, LIVESAY, XFACTORX, CONQUEST and HYPNOTICA. For more information, visit www.upstatemetalfest.com.
