ION VEIN Welcomes New Singer, Resumes Recording New Album

November 10, 2010

Chicago metallers ION VEIN have announced the addition of vocalist Scott Featherstone to the group's ranks. Scott is best known for his work with the upstate New York-based American metal band ENERTIA.

Commented ION VEIN guitarist/founder Chris Lotesto in a statement, "We're absolutely stoked to announce the addition of Scott to the ION VEIN family; his voice is exactly what we've been searching for, he's breathed new life and new energy into the songs, and the band as well!"

He added, "I've been a huge fan of Scott's since our bands first played together almost 10 years ago, and the work he did on the last ENERTIA record, 'Force', with Neil Kernon (NILE, NEVERMORE, QUEENSRŸCHE) producing was fantastic! So, being able to bring him into the fold and into the studio with Neil once again was very, very exciting, to say the least."

ION VEIN recently returned to the studio with Kernon at the helm to resume recording its long-awaited third album. The hunt for a new label home will begin upon the CD's completion.

In other news, ION VEIN's long-out-of-print debut album, "Beyond Tomorrow", is finally available for digital download, along with the band's follow-up, "Reigning Memories". Both can be found at CDbaby, iTunes, Amazon, and everywhere cool music is sold online.
