IRON MAIDEN: Dutch Show Announced

January 23, 2008

British heavy metal legends IRON MAIDEN will perform at the Assen TT Race Track in Assen, Holland on Saturday, August 16 as part of their Somewhere Back In Time World Tour 2008. This is the first time any such music event has been staged as the famous motorcycling rack track which regularly hosts the world superbike championships and TT races.

Commented MAIDEN bassist Steve Harris: "As we've said throughout the announcements for this tour, it's always exciting for us to play somewhere brand new and to be the first ever music artist to play at this prestigious venue is fantastic. We always get to Holland, as it does have great memories for us over the years, way back to the beginning and our first ever ventures out of the UK."

Tickets go on-sale to the general public at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 26 via www.livenation.nl.

On February 5, 2008 MAIDEN will release the highly anticipated DVD of "Live after Death" and to tie in with this will play songs mainly from their classic '80s albums on their forthcoming tour. The stage production will also feature a production-based on the Egyptian-themed "Powerslave Tour" which was featured on the original 1985 video release of "Live after Death".

A preview of the "Live After Death" DVD, the legendary recording of IRON MAIDEN's four-night stand at Long Beach Arena, California in 1984, is available below.
