IRON MAIDEN Guitarist's PSYCHO MOTEL Albums To Be Reissued

May 6, 2005

According to a posting on the IRON MAIDEN fan site Maidenfans.com, MAIDEN guitarist Adrian Smith will see some of his past efforts being released again this summer.

On June 20, the PSYCHO MOTEL albums "State of Mind" and "Welcome to the World", originally released in 1996 and 1997, respectively, will be back on the shelves. The "Welcome to the World" reissue will contain "Rain", the bonus track originally found on the Japanese edition of the album. It is still unknown if these will be remastered or re-packaged. It is, however, pretty certain that the artwork covers will remain the same.

As previously reported, IRON MAIDEN singer Bruce Dickinson's past solo releases will be re-released with extra material on May 23.

The albums will expanded with hard-to-find B-sides and rare tracks, while the live recordings will be merged into a new three-CD box set. Sleeve notes by IRON MAIDEN expert Dave Ling will be added to the booklets, which will be upgraded to contain never-before-seen photos. The original artwork will also be fully upgraded by original designer Hugh Gilmour.
