IRON MAIDEN Lands In Bulgaria; Photos Available

The members of IRON MAIDEN landed at Bulgaria's Sofia Airport on a private charter flight Sunday afternoon (June 3) at exactly 2:36 p.m. After being welcomed in the VIP area by the local promoters of the band's show at the Locomotiv Stadium Monday (June 4) — Sofia Music EnterprisesBruce Dickinson, Steve Harris, Dave Murray, Nicko McBrain, Adrian Smith, Janick Gers, and the group's seventh member, longtime manager Rod Smallwood, made their way downtown.

SofiaEcho.com reported on Friday that fans will be unable to take pictures during IRON MAIDEN's concert in Bulgaria.

More than 30,000 people are expected to witness the show at Locomotiv stadium.

A week before the concert, 25,000 tickets had already been sold, organizers said.

The band reportedly arrived in Bulgaria accompanied by seven trucks of equipment. Equipment travelled to Sofia from the Slovenian capital of Ljubljana. The equipment that will be used to stage the performance weighs a total of 30 tons.

Organizers said that the stage will be unique and specially designed for the show in Bulgaria. It will arrive from Italy.

Locomotiv stadium will open at 4:30 p.m. on the day of the concert. More than 300 people will be responsible for the security during the show.
