IRON MAIDEN Manager To Make Radio Debut

September 3, 2007

IRON MAIDEN's official web site has been updated with the following message:

"Rod [Smallwood; MAIDEN manager] is making his radio debut on a friend's metal show, 'House of Rock' in his home town of Brighton on Monday, September 10 at 10:00 p.m. Full broadcast and repeat details are below.

"This new show on online Radio Reverb is being hosted by one of his best mates, Mike Weatherley, who also happens to be the Tory candidate for Hove — but more to the point a fervent and knowledgeable metal fan. Rod first came across him when Mike was the candidate for Barking at the 2001 election and contacted Rod asking if MAIDEN would play on the roof of Virgin Records on Barking High St. in support of his campaign!!! Naturally, not wishing to get the band involved in the machinations of the political world, Rod informed him that MAIDEN would be 'out of the country.' However, Rod was intrigued by a candidate who was a metal fan and they met up shortly afterwards when Mike moved back to Brighton and have since attended many local and other metal gigs together, large and small, including Mike going to the isolated Hungarian town of Debrecen to see MAIDEN ...on his honeymoon! Thankfully his Brazilian wife, Adriana, is also a metal and MAIDEN fan. They will be chatting about Rod's experiences in the world of metal during the 60-minute show and playing some of their favorite tracks."

"House of Rock" can be heard on the radio locally in Brighton on 97.2 and on the net at www.radioreverb.com. The program airs Monday nights at 10:00 p.m. and is repeated during the week.
