IRON MAIDEN: More Details Revealed About BRUCE DICKINSON's 'Flying Heavy Metal' Documentary

October 16, 2004

According to a posting at the IRON MAIDEN fans site, the upcoming documentary documentary series about airplanes, tentatively titled "Flying Heavy Metal", that is being hosted by MAIDEN singer Bruce Dickinson is being produced by the U.K.-based Ricochet production company, and the forthcoming feature can be seen listed on their "Current Productions" page.

The upcoming series is being described as follows: "IRON MAIDEN rock legend and professional pilot Bruce Dickinson charts the evolution of the passenger aeroplane, the documentary is made for Discovery Channel and will be a series of five 30-minute features."

The production gives a winter 2005 timeframe, but Eric Fetter — the writer of the article at the The Herald — kindly told that "as far as an air date in Europe, Bruce said he expects it to be on there in February. It may also show on the Discovery Channel [in the U.S.], but that's still up in the air."
