IRON MAIDEN's DICKINSON Won't Miss LIMP BIZKIT At DOWNLOAD FESTIVAL
May 15, 2003IRON MAIDEN frontman Bruce Dickinson popped in to BBC's Radio 1 Tuesday night (May 13) to chat about the upcoming Download festival, which is set to take place later this month at Donington Park in England.
When asked if he was disappointed about LIMP BIZKIT pulling out of the event, Bruce said, "Well, you know…it's erm…no! Personally, I'd want to see AUDIOSLAVE than LIMP BIZKIT any day of the week. I don't think people are going to get any less for their money by not seeing Fred Durst with his baseball cap on the wrong way. From the point of view of our tickets sales, it makes no different because ya boo sucks, we sold more tickets than they did anyway. Oops! (laughs)."
As previously reported, LIMP BIZKIT have promised fans some free European events to try and make amends. They pulled out because they need to concentrate on finishing their album, currently called "Panty Sniffer", which has already been delayed.
Download takes place on May 31 and June 1. In addition to IRON MAIDEN, the lineup of performers includes MARILYN MANSON, AUDIOSLAVE, ZWAN, SEPULTURA and H.I.M.
