IRON MAIDEN's Sao Paulo Concert Moved To 40,000-Capacity Stadium

IRON MAIDEN's previously announced March 2, 2008 concert in Sao Paulo, Brazil has been moved from the Skol Arena Anhembi to a larger venue, the 42,000-capacity Palmeiras Stadium.

As previously reported, IRON MAIDEN has been confirmed as the main headliner at Italy's Gods of Metal festival on Friday, June 27 as part of the band's "Somewhere Back In Time World Tour 2008".

The three-day festival (June 27-29) will take place at the Arena Parco Nord in Bologna, with tickets going on sale on Thursday, November 29 at noon.

This will be the third time the band has headlined the festival, helping it grow to be Italy's premier metal event. It wil also be the group's only Italian performance in 2008.

On February 5, 2008 MAIDEN will release the hightly anticipated DVD of "Live after Death" and to tie in with this will play songs mainly from their classic '80s albums on this forthcoming tour. The stage production will also feature a production-based on the Egyptian-themed "Powerslave Tour" which was featured on the original 1985 video release of "Live after Death".
