IRON MAIDEN Schedules Spanish Date

January 10, 2008

IRON MAIDEN has confirmed a Spanish date as part of its "Somewhere Back In Time World Tour 2008". The concert will take place on July 11 at the Via de La Plata Festival, which will be held in Merida, in southwest Spain. According to The Metal Circus, some rumors suggest that SLAYER and AVENGED SEVENFOLD, as well as LAUREN HARRIS, could be playing the event, although there is no official confirmation. Tickets will go on sale this Saturday, January 12 through Tick Tack Ticket and the usual outlets. The second Spanish date, which will supposedly take place on July 12, will be announced during the coming days.

On February 5, 2008 MAIDEN will release the highly anticipated DVD of "Live after Death" and to tie in with this will play songs mainly from their classic '80s albums on this forthcoming tour. The stage production will also feature a production-based on the Egyptian-themed "Powerslave Tour" which was featured on the original 1985 video release of "Live after Death".

A preview of the "Live After Death" DVD, the legendary recording of IRON MAIDEN's four-night stand at Long Beach Arena, California in 1984, is available below.
