IRON MAIDEN Trio Join DEEP PURPLE During London Gig

Three members of IRON MAIDEN — drummer Nicko McBrain, guitarist Janick Gers, and vocalist Bruce Dickinson — joined DEEP PURPLE on stage during the latter's concert at London's Hammersmith Apollo on Saturday, September 7th for a rendition of the DP classic "Smoke On The Water" (with McBrain handling congas and DP drummer Ian Paice's cymbals, apparently).

The following was DEEP PURPLE's set list from the previous evening's performance at Hammersmith Apollo:
