Israel Loves DEEP PURPLE
September 8, 2008According to a posting on the Deep Purple Appreciation Society web site, DEEP PURPLE broke the record for international artists playing in Israel. The British hard rock legends' original September 2008 one-off show sold out so quickly that a second date was added. Then the third, and now the fourth.
DEEP PURPLE's first show in Israel, originally scheduled for September 7, has been postponed to September 17, so the schedule now is: September 8 in Caesaria; September 9 in Tel Aviv; and September 17-18 in Caesaria. The date was apparently moved so the band could reschedule a show in Russia for September 7 so that the Russian President Dmitry Medvedev could attend (since he was apparently "too busy" to go to the other Russian PURPLE concert).
