It's Official: Ex-EVANESCENCE Guitarist Writes With AVRIL LAVIGNE

A spokesperson for Avril Lavigne has confirmed to MTV.com that former EVANESCENCE guitarist Ben Moody is among the songwriters working with the 19-year-old pop star on her second album, the follow-up to her 2002 debut, "Let Go". The collaboration apparently came about when Moody contacted Lavigne's A&R rep and volunteered his talents, according to the spokesperson. The as-yet-untitled album, which is being recorded in a Los Angeles studio, is due in late spring.
