JAG PANZER Prepare To Re-Record Classic Tracks For Upcoming CD

August 7, 2002

JAG PANZER are getting ready to take the best tracks from their pre-Century Media releases (the Tyrants EP, Ample Destruction, Dissident Alliance and the Chain Of Comand bootleg) and record them as if they were new songs for an upcoming double CD, tentatively titled Decade Of The Nail Spiked Bat (a reference from the song "License to Kill"). According to drummer Rikard Stjernquist, "we have been doing a lot of pre-production work and are very excited about revisiting this old material and giving it a polish that will blind. We hope to complete recording and mix down by the end of September."

With regards to the band's recently-completed European tour, Stjernquist had the following to say:

"We got back from Germany's Bang Your Head festival a few weeks ago and I am happy to report we played (in my opinion) one of our best sets. BYH was a great experience and would have only been better if we had actually gone on to play the Rock Wave Festival in Greece. We are cursed when it comes to Greece. This is the 3rd show that has been cancelled due to reasons that had nothing to do with us. Apparently we are destined to never play Greece. As a fan stated on our website's guest book said, 'The Gods do not love Greece.' Apparently the Gods do not want us to play the land of the Gods."
