JAG PANZER To Enter Studio This Weekend
May 17, 2004Colorado power metallers JAG PANZER will enter Tampa's Morrisound studios this Saturday (May 22) with producer Jim Morris to begin recording their new album, "Casting the Stones", tentatively due in October through Century Media Records. After drum tracking, the band will be back in Colorado for several weeks recording guitars and vocals before heading back down to Morrisound to mix the album at the end June.
Guitarist Mark Briody commented on the upcoming release: "I'm VERY excited about the songs. I feel that this is some of the strongest material we've ever written."
Previously described by Briody as "a more aggressive version" of 2001's "Mechanized Warfare", "Casting the Stones" will feature artwork by by Mattias Noren.
JAG PANZER's most recent release, "Decade of the Nail-Spiked Bat", was a two-CD set containing the best tracks from the group's pre-Century Media releases ("Tyrants" EP, "Ample Destruction", "Dissident Alliance" and the "Chain Of Command" bootleg) re-recorded "as if they were new songs," according to Briody.
