Talking about the album, he said: "It's a strange mixture of that post-punk goth darkness that JANE'S had, with what's going on today with groups like MUSE and RADIOHEAD. As much as I want to appease fans and make old JANE'S fans love me, I just cant help myself from moving forward."
Tracks set to appear on "The Great Escape Artist" include "End To The Lies" , "Irresistible Force", which guitarist Dave Navarro described to Reuters as having "some magic captured on it," and "Splash a Little Water", which he termed "kinda ambient and cinematic."
JANE'S ADDICTION's video for "End To The Lies" can be viewed below. The Alex Bulkley-directed ("Robot Chicken") clip was shot in Hollywood, California at Studio 905 where the band members were filmed giving a live performance in front of a white backdrop so they could later be superimposed onto women's bodies.
