JASON BLACHOWICZ: I Am The Owner, Heart And Soul Of DIVINE EMPIRE

June 10, 2005

DIVINE EMPIRE bassist/vocalist Jason Blachowicz (ex-MALEVOLENT CREATION) has contacted BLABBERMOUTH.NET to refute an Internet report that he has been kicked out of the band due to "serious personal and legal issues." A press release was sent to BLABBERMOUTH.NET yesterday indicating that guitarist J.P. Soars and drummer Duane Timlin had already found a replacement for Jason and were planning on hitting the road in support of the group's recently released CD, "Method of Execution", available now on Century Media Records.

In an e-mail sent to BLABBERMOUTH.NET earlier today, Blachowicz writes, "The recently released info on Blabbermouth regarding DIVINE EMPIRE is FALSE! Jason Blachowicz is the owner, HEART and SOUL of DIVINE EMPIRE, J.P. and Duane are the members who have been replaced due to personal issues, bassist vocalist Jason Blachowicz has already recruited a new line-up, including a new drummer and guitarist from Chicago and a second guitarist from Pennsylvania, their names will be released in the very near future."

As a result of the lineup changes, DIVINE EMPIRE have been forced to cancel their previously announced participation in the VADER-headlined Blitzkrieg 3 European tour, set to kick off in early September. "Unfortunately the EMPIRE apologizes to everyone for dropping off the tour due to the line-up changes, with plans now to concentrate on rehearsing and tightening up the new line-up," Blachowicz writes. "DIVINE EMPIRE will soon once again be a 'well-oiled' death metal machine, then plans to pursue future tours and supporting the new album 'Method of Execution' will be upheld to the fullest extent."
