JEFF SCOTT SOTO Performs Acoustic Show In Bulgaria; Video Available

August 22, 2009

On August 17, legendary vocalist Jeff Scott Soto (TALISMAN, JOURNEY, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN) and his Bulgarian friend the guitarist Emo Markov took part in an acoustic performance in a club on the beach in the city of Burgas, Bulgaria.

Their setlist was as follows:

01. Is This Love? (WHITESNAKE)
02. Hey (JEFF SCOTT SOTO)
03. Mysterious (TALISMAN)
04. Cry Me a River (JEFF SCOTT SOTO)
05. Crazy Little Thing Called Love (QUEEN)
06. Dead or Alive (BON JOVI)
07. Purple Rain (PRINCE)
08. Crazy (SEAL)
09. Gin & Tonic Sky (JEFF SCOTT SOTO)
10. Just Between Us (TALISMAN)
11. Hole Hearted (EXTREME)
12. Living on a Prayer (BON JOVI)
13. I'll Be Waiting (TALISMAN)
14. Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' (MICHAEL JACKSON) + Superstition (STEVIE WONDER) (feat. Georgi Marholev on vocals and guitars)

In an interview with Metal Hangar 18 conducted about an hour before the concert began, Soto indicated that there will not be a new TALISMAN album since the band was the brainchild of late Swedish bassist Marcel Jacob. However, he did dedicate a part of the performance to Jacob — the TALISMAN songs "Mysterious", "Just Between Us", "Crazy" (SEAL cover) and "I'll Be Waiting" — which he was performing for the first time since Jacob's passing.

Marcel took his own life on July 21, 2009 after many years of personal and health issues he was battling.
