JERRY CANTRELL, BILLY DUFFY To Peform At SAMMY HAGAR's Birthday Bash

Former ALICE IN CHAINS guitarist Jerry Cantrell, former THE CULT guitarist Billy Duffy and VAN HALEN bassist Michael Anthony are among the artists scheduled to perform at Sammy Hagar's annual birthday celebration at his Cabo Wabo club in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, according to Billboard.com.

The festivities begin with the Oct. 8-9 Cabo Wabo Meltdown, which will feature performances by Hagar and his band THE WABORITAS, Anthony, RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS drummer Chad Smith, Cantrell, Duffy and SILVERTIDE, who have supported VAN HALEN's fall tour. Both nights will also feature a set by the to-be-determined winner of the "A Shot at the Cabo Wabo" unsigned band contest.

Hagar's extended bash runs Oct. 10-13, the latter being the off-again, on-again VAN HALEN singer's 57th birthday. Country superstar Kenny Chesney will be on hand for the first night, while subsequent nights will include SMASH MOUTH and LOS TRES GUSANOS, a trio made up of Hagar, Anthony and WABORITAS drummer David Lauser.
