JERRY CANTRELL: Upcoming Solo Album To Feature DROPBOX Singer?

October 26, 2004

Former ALICE IN CHAINS guitarist Jerry Cantrell has reportedly approached DROPBOX frontman John Kosco about appearing on his upcoming solo album. Contact between Cantrell and Kosco was apparently made via Dave Jerden, the producer of the DROPBOX album who more famously recorded JANE'S ADDICTION and ALICE IN CHAINS.

DROPBOX, GODSMACK frontman Sully Erna's first signing to Re-Align/Republic/Universal Records, released their self-titled debut album in March. DROPBOX formed in 2002 after Erna introduced Lee Richards, GODSMACK's original guitarist, to vocalist John Kosco. Erna says "I had met this vocalist John Kosco backstage at one of my shows in New York. I put him and Lee together and they wrote some amazing stuff."
