JIMI HENDRIX Home May See Wrecking Ball
March 7, 2009KiroTV.com reports that the home where Jimi Hendrix used to play the ukulele as a teen has hit a sour note with the city of Renton, Washington.
The owner has to move it by March 27 or steps will be made to tear it down.
In 2006, the house was moved from Seattle's Central District to a mobile home park across the street from where the guitar legend is buried. Renton had high hopes for the area, which attracts thousands of visitors every year.
Many local residents didn't even know the home was there until it was brought to their attention.
