JIMI HENDRIX Inducted Into Music City Walk of Fame
November 6, 2007Jimi Hendrix has been honored as part of the third class of inductees to the Music City Walk of Fame.
Hendrix and five other honorees was recognized with the unveiling of commemorative sidewalk markers on Monday, November 5 in the Hall of Fame Park in downtown Nashville.
Jimi Hendrix, who holds the No. 1 spot on Rolling Stone's list of the 100 Greatest Guitarists of all time first began performing professionally on a regular basis in 1962 after moving to Nashville, where he honed his craft in clubs on Jefferson Street and Printer's Alley.
