JIMI HENDRIX: 'Merry Christmas & Happy New Year' 10" Green Vinyl Due On 'Black Friday'

November 1, 2010

According to Spin.com, a special 10-inch green vinyl release from JIMI HENDRIX called "Merry Christmas & Happy New Year" will be released as part of "Back to Black Friday." The event aims to take advantage of the country's biggest annual single day of shopping, November 26, a.k.a. Black Friday, and is organized by the creators of Record Store Day, the cooperative project of indie outlets that stock limited edition releases for one day in April.

"Merry Christmas & Happy New Year" features Hendrix's instrumental takes on "Little Drummer Boy" and "Silent Night/Auld Lang Syne" and captures the guitar legend and his BAND OF GYPSIES during rehearsal for the famous New Year's Eve 1969 Fillmore concerts.
