JOB FOR A COWBOY, BEHEMOTH To Team Up For Fall Tour
August 9, 2007Arizona's JOB FOR A COWBOY and Poland's BEHEMOTH will team up for a North American tour in the fall. So far only one date has been released: October 28 at the House of Blues in West Hollywood, California.
JOB FOR A COWBOY was named "Best Underground Band" at the 2007 Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards. The band was present at the June 11 ceremony in London to accept the award onstage.
JOB FOR A COWBOY is continuing to tour in support of its critically acclaimed debut album "Genesis". "Genesis" debuted at #54 on the Billboard Top 200 chart in its first week of release, joining the initial releases from STONE SOUR and DAMAGEPLAN (which featured members of SLIPKNOT and PANTERA respectively) among the highest-charting metal debuts to crack Billboard's Top 200 since SLIPKNOT's 1999 self-titled album.
Fan-filmed video footage of BEHEMOTH performing the song "Demigod" on July 27, 2007 at the Boulder Theater in Boulder, Colorado has been posted on YouTube.
BEHEMOTH's new album, "The Apostasy", debuted at #149 on the Billboard Top 200 chart with first-week sales of around 5,000. This entry also marks Century Media's fifth highest The Billboard 200 debut.
BEHEMOTH has been hailed as this year's Ozzfest breakthrough artist due primarily to their unrelenting energy, savage brutality and uncompromising vision. The group go onstage at 4:15 p.m. every day in the direct support, non-rotating slot right before second stage headliners HATEBREED, so fans can expect a lengthy set backed with their biggest stage production yet.
