JOE PERRY To Perform With Rapper T-PAIN At DOLPHINS Vs. PATRIOTS Game
December 1, 2009The Miami Dolphins have announced that co-founding member, principal co-songwriter, lead guitarist and co-producer of AEROSMITH, Joe Perry, will be the main act at the Land Shark Tailgate Stage on the AT&T Grand Plaza with his band, THE JOE PERRY PROJECT, on Sunday, December 6, prior to the Dolphins-Patriots game, with a live performance starting at 12 noon. Perry and his band will perform a series of songs from his fifth solo CD, "Have Guitar, Will Travel", released in October this year, that will include the album's first single, "We've Got A Long Way To Go". In addition to experiencing Perry's trademark rock and roll-based ferocity, fans will be treated to an exclusive rendition of AEROSMITH's unforgettable number one hit single "Walk This Way", featuring leading singer/rapper and producer T-PAIN, who will make a special guest appearance with Perry live on stage.
"I've tailgated up north a few times and it’s hard cooking sausage with your fingers frozen," says Perry. "I'm looking forward to getting some ribs going in Miami and to being able to feel my fingers, which is always sure to help my performance."
"Have Guitar, Will Travel" will be released in Japan on December 23. The Japanese edition of the album will include two bonus tracks — "Dream On" (AEROSMITH) and "Revolution" (THE BEATLES). The hard-driving, ten-song, in your face, collection features Perry's trademark rock and blues ferocity. Recorded this past spring at the BoneYard, Perry's state-of-the-art home studio, where AEROSMITH's "Honkin' On Bobo" and "Just Push Play" were recorded, "Have Guitar, Will Travel" is entirely written and produced by Perry.
