JOHN PEEL's Son To Take Over IRON MAIDEN Frontman Bruce Dickinson's BBC Radio Slot

May 3, 2010

According to the BBC News, the son of the legendary DJ and new music champion John Peel has secured his own show on BBC 6 Music.

Tom Ravenscroft, 30, will host a weekly show on the digital station, which is currently threatened with closure.

Ravenscroft will take over from IRON MAIDEN frontman Bruce Dickinson on June 4 with a three-hour Friday night slot.

"I'm thrilled... and can't wait to get started," said Ravenscroft. Peel was Radio 1's longest-serving DJ at the time of his death in 2004.
