JON LORD To Celebrate 40th Anniversary Of 'Concerto For Group And Orchestra'

On September 24, former DEEP PURPLE keyboardist Jon Lord will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Concerto for Group and Orchestra by performing the piece in Dublin, Ireland with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra. Also planned for the show are pieces from Lord's solo career and a couple of DEEP PURPLE songs, including an orchestral version of "Child In Time".

On July 11, Lord will appear as special guest to Robert Wells' touring Rhapsody In Rock show in Falkenberg, Sweden.

Jon Lord will perform two PURPLE songs with Robert Wells and his 20-piece orchestra and 18-piece choir.

Rhapsody In Rock is a concert concept that has been touring Sweden, Norway and Finland every year since 1998. Founder and leading artist is Swedish piano player Robert Wells.
