JOURNEY Adds Four December Shows To Las Vegas Residency

July 29, 2019

According to Billboard, legendary rockers JOURNEY have added four shows in December to their limited engagement inside The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. In addition to the nine dates announced for October, JOURNEY will now play at the venue on December 27, December 28, December 30 and December 31.

"We don't usually play a New Year's Eve show," keyboardist Jonathan Cain told Billboard. "How quick the [other] shows sold sealed the idea and this year it made sense for all of us."

Cain added that he loves performing in Las Vegas, where JOURNEY has played many times before.

"I always tell people, there's a heart in Vegas you haven't seen yet," he added. "You don't have to look too far to find it. Back in the day nobody wanted to play Vegas — and now it has become the place to play."

The nine JOURNEY shows taking place this fall are scheduled for October 9, October 11, October 12, October 16, October 18, October 19, October 23, October 25 and October 26.

JOURNEY previously played a nine-show mini-residency in 2017 at the Hard Rock Hotel featuring full performances of its "Escape" and "Frontiers" albums.

JOURNEY was inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 2017.

JOURNEY and DEF LEPPARD's 2018 North American co-headline tour grossed $97.1 million from 1,003,198 tickets sold, according to figures reported to Billboard Boxscore. The trek included 56 dates across the United States, plus two shows in Canada.
