JUDAS PRIEST Frontman ROB HALFORD's Catalog To Be Remastered, Reissued
April 29, 2006According to a posting on JUDAS PRIEST frontman Rob Halford's official web site, the singer's catalog will be remastered and reissued with bonus material this summer. The HALFORD band has issued two full-length studio albums — "Resurrection" (2000) and "Crucible" (2002) — plus a live album, "Live Insurrection" (2001). Further details are expected to be revealed the week of May 15 when there will be "an exciting news update."
JUDAS PRIEST have announced that they are creating their first conceptual album based upon the life and predictions of Nostradamus. The CD will be theatrically staged and performed in its entirety as an epic musical by JUDAS PRIEST. A 2007 release is expected.
JUDAS PRIEST will be taking part in the first annual "VH1 Rock Honors", the first-ever show to pay homage to the legends who influenced the sound of hard rock. This year's celebration will honor the music and influence of PRIEST, KISS, QUEEN and DEF LEPPARD. Premiering on Wednesday, May 31 at 9:00 p.m., "VH1 Rock Honors" will be taped at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas on Thursday, May 25 and will include tribute performances by FOO FIGHTERS and THE ALL-AMERICAN REJECTS. Additional performers, presenters, and special guests will be announced as they are confirmed.
