JUDAS PRIEST On New CD: 'Everything Is Coming Together And Sounding Really Fantastic'

February 22, 2007

JUDAS PRIEST is currently recording a concept album about the 16th Century French prophet Nostradamus. The band's management representative, Jayne Andrews, has issued the following update:

"The band are well under way in the studio. Everything is coming together and sounding really fantastic!! Glenn [Tipton, guitar] and K.K. [Downing, guitar] have been working very hard to put this album together. Scott [Travis, drums] is over next week and he and Ian [Hill, bass] will be laying down their parts. Rob [Halford, vocals] will be back in the studio very soon to put his vocals down, so it's all going according to plan! As we always say — be patient; it will be worth waiting for!!"

In a recent interview with Rockdetector's Garry Sharpe-Young, Rob Halford stated about the upcoming CD, "It's absolutely massive in its scope. I mean, it really is a very big concept, even possibly a double album. We're all totally into the whole idea and researching the man's life has opened up so many possibilities. Right now Glenn [Tipton] and Ken [K.K. Downing] have all the music written but we have to construct all of that into a meaningful story. It's hugely ambitious but I know the fans will be blown away."
