KALMAH Finish Mixing New Album
December 12, 2005Finland's KALMAH have finished mixing their new album, entitled "The Black Waltz", for a February 22, 2006 release through Spinefarm Records.
"The mixing started and ended fast," the band write on their web site. "We had only five days to do it but luckily the basic sounds were great and Ahti [Kortelainen, engineer] got it started smoothly right away. What can I say, everybody in the band is more or less stafisfied with the result and why not, everything sounds great! Thanks for Ahti again for doing awesome work! Next issue will be mastering, which will take place at Finnvox studios. In the mean time we concentrate on the cover issues and new promopics etc."
The follow-up to 2003's "Swampsong", "The Black Waltz" will contain the following ten tracks (in no specific order):
01. Bitter Metallic Side
02. Defeat
03. The Groan of Wind
04. One from the Stands
05. The Black Waltz
06. With Terminal Intensity
07. To the Gallows
08. Time Takes Us All
09. Mindrust
10. Man of the King
A bonus cover track was also laid down during the sessions and will be included on various releases.
