KATAKLYSM: New Album To Be Mixed By TUE MADSEN

September 15, 2005

Guitarist/producer Jean-François Dagenais of the Canadian death metallers KATAKLYSM has issued the following update:

"As must of you know, the recording sessions for the new KATAKLYSM album are done, so this time around I wanna try something different and get another producer involved with the album other then myself (I have produced/mixed the last five KATAKLYSM releases) and wanna give this release two different perspectives, two different feels to it, so we decided to enlist Tue Madsen (THE HAUNTED, MNEMIC) to mix the new album and I think the combination between both of us will be lethal! I think this will be the best thing to do. I've been swamped with projects from all over Canada and been working on the KATAKLYSM album for two months. Having someone completely fresh to work the last parts of the album will be great, so I'll be shipping the record over to Tue at Antfarm studios in Denmark very soon. 'In the Arms of Devastation' will be released worldwide February 20, 2006 on Nuclear Blast Records and is guaranteed to blow your mind!!"

As previously reported, KATAKLYSM's only scheduled show at this time is an appearance at the Windy City Invetational festival on October 1 in Chicago, Illinois.
