KATAKLYSM Singer Comments On Upcoming Tour With DIMMU BORGIR

March 13, 2007

Canada's kings of Northern hyperblast KATAKLYSM have returned home after an extensive tour that began on January 2 in Europe and finished here in the U.S. on March 8. Completing one of their most successful European runs, the band had several sell-out performances in Holland, Italy, Austria, and Germany, then flew straight to North America to embark on the very rewarding Trendkiller Tour with SWORN ENEMY, SUICIDE SILENCE, AS BLOOD RUNS BLACK, and TOO PURE TO DIE.

KATAKLYSM's growth in the U.S. has been undeniable and the band is now setting their focus on their highly-anticipated spring tour with labelmates DIMMU BORGIR. Lead singer Maurizio Iacono comments: "We were just about to finish our European tour at the end of January when we were notified of the chance to do this tour with DIMMU. Of course, the whole band was REALLY into doing this, as we are all fans of DIMMU's music so there was no doubt about our interest. We have to especially thank [DIMMU founding member and guitarist] Silenoz for hand-picking KATAKLYSM. We are honored about it. Many of our fans on this last tour told us they already bought their tickets, so it looks like it will be a massive turn-out! All I have to say is that we are prepared to deliver a bombastic set. We promise you that heads will roll! We also look forward to sharing the stage with the other bands on the package — UNEARTH and DEVILDRIVER. See you there!!"
