KATAKLYSM: 'We Will Never Open Another Tour Again'

June 3, 2003

KATAKLYSM singer Maurizio Iacono has posted the following message to the group's official web site:

"In response to the numerous e-mails we have received and pissed off fans we've encountered, we would like to apologize to all of you who came to the shows in Houston, Dallas, Tempe, Los Angeles and San Francisco to see KATAKLYSM and missed us or got our last song. This is the situation...

"Before KATAKLYSM joined the tour as replacement for SKINLESS, a deal was made which was not clearly specified to us. The deal was that SKINLESS would switch positions with BLEEDING THROUGH half way through the tour. Obviously the agent who booked this underestimated KATAKLYSM's value and didn't make his research properly considering we've drawn a lot of people on this tour. BLEEDING THROUGH were nice enough to give us back our rightful position for certain markets, but we had to let other ones go to avoid a mess between labels, agents, etc. So again, we are really sorry for this and we promise to make it up to you guys very soon. One thing is for sure — we will never open another tour again. We've done that already in the past and paid our dues, we've proven ourselves with blood and sweat for over 10 years. Funny how things work sometimes — here we are supporting our biggest selling record and the only band on this tour with constant MTV airplay, and we also have the biggest catalogue... Yet shit still happens to us like this in the States, but we are warriors and we will keep fighting.

"On a last note, we will open the Minneapolis show at The Quest, so everyone that wanna see us make sure to come early... You have been warned. Nonetheless, we are still having a good time on this tour and everyone is very cool."
